Woman injured in Annsville car accident

Posted by:

A woman was injured Sunday afternoon after a car accident in the town of Annsville.

Kristen Martin, 20, of North Bay, was driving on Glenmore Road when a small dog entered the roadway, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

Martin swerved in an attempt to miss the dog and lost control of the car, deputies said. The car left the south shoulder of the road and struck a tree before overturning several times, deputies said.

Martin was partially ejected from the car, but was wearing a seatbelt that kept her from being thrown fully from the car, deputies said.

She was treated at the scene for a possible broken hand and arm, as well as several cuts and bruises, deputies said. She was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for further evaluation. No tickets were issued. The investigation is ongoing.
