Woman in crash charged with unlicensed driving

Ashley Furgiuele, 24, of Kingsland, Ga., was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a one-car accident on Waddingham Road in the town of LeRay about 4:10 p.m. Thursday.

She told deputies that she swerved to miss a cat when she lost control of her and went off the road. She had been driving with a suspended license, deputies said.
