The intersection of Dutch Neck Road and Brooktree Road in East Windsor, NJ
EAST WINDSOR — Drivers suffered only moderate injuries after being involved in a two-vehicle crash today where a car overturned and rolled into two utility poles, police said.
Around 4 p.m., 44-year-old Maura Hillman of Princeton Junction was traveling west on Dutch Neck Road near Brooktree Road. As she crossed the intersection, police said a 17-year-old female from Bordentown, who was driving east on Dutch Neck Road, attempted a left turn onto Wiltshire Drive and struck Hillman’s car.
The impact caused Hillman’s car to hit a curb, overturn and roll across a grassy area before striking two separate utility poles, police said.
Police said JCP&L was notified and responded to the scene to make repairs.
Both drivers were transported to area medical facilities for evaluation, police said.
Police said the 17-year-old was issued a summons for making an improper left turn.
The accident remains under investigation by the East Windsor Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
