LOVELAND — One person was transported to the hospital following a three-car accident at East Eisenhower Boulevard and Sculptor Drive on Monday afternoon.

According to Loveland Police Lt. Leslie Young, witnesses said that a black Pontiac ran a red light at the intersection with excessive speed around 2:45 p.m. The Pontiac struck a vehicle that was attempting to make a left-hand turn at the green light from Eisenhower to Sculptor. That vehicle spun around and struck another vehicle, Young said.

One person was transported from the scene with unknown injuries. Two vehicles had to be towed.

No citations have been issued and will depend on the severity of injuries, Young said.

The busy intersection was closed for about 20 minutes.
