EAST HARTFORD—
Police are investigating the events that preceded a one-car crash on Route 2 west early Tuesday.
The accident happened about 5:50 am. between exits 5A and 4, the state Department of Transportation said in an emailed alert. The left lane was closed for about an hour.
A female occupant was transported to an area hospital, although the extent of her injuries isn’t clear. She told troopers she was the victim of an attack, police said.
The car reportedly had three occupants, two of whom tried to walk away from the crash.
