A car ran a red light at the intersection of North Big Spring Street and West Wadley Avenue, colliding with another vehicle, but no passengers were injured, police said.
Midland officers responded to the accident at about 11 a.m. and found two vehicles with front-end damage.
A man was driving north in a red Chevrolet pickup on Big Spring Street when a driver of a black Nissan Maxima headed east on Wadley Avenue ran a stop light, “T-boning” the pickup and causing it to run off the road and into an abandoned parking lot, said Margarita Strahan, investigating officer.
Traffic was not adversely affected, but Strahan said there have been a number of accidents at the intersection of Big Spring and Wadley.
The investigation is ongoing. Citations are pending against the driver of the Nissan, including a citation for failing to stop at a red light, she said.
