Jennifer Lawrence (r.) admits she’s a fan of reality starlet Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson.
Some call Honey Boo Boo’s reality TV show a train wreck, but actress Jennifer Lawrence warns it can lead to actual crashes.
Lawrence, 22, confessed on the “Tonight Show” Monday that she recently rear-ended a family in Georgia because she thought she spotted child star Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson in a parade.
“It was a breast cancer parade, and so people were wearing, now I know, it said ‘Boobs’ on the (insignia). But I thought it was saying ‘Boo Boo,’” the “Hunger Games” and “Silver Linings Playbook” actress told host Jay Leno.
“And so I was like, well, does that mean there’s Honey Boo Boo? And so I started craning my neck, and then I saw a little girl, and I was like, ‘It’s Honey Boo Boo!” she explained.
“And I’m still driving. And then I rear-ended the person in front of me and then had to get out of the car and explain what happened,” she said sheepishly. “I was like, ‘I’m sorry that I hit your family. I thought I saw Honey Boo Boo.’”

Jennifer Lawrence appeared on ‘The Tonight Show’ on Monday night.
Thompson, the pint-sized pageant contestant who rose to fame on TLC’s “Toddlers & Tiaras” before getting her own hit show, lives in Georgia.
Lawrence has been shooting the upcoming “Hunger Games” sequel “Catching Fire” in the Atlanta area.
Dating 22-year-old English actor Nicholas Hoult, her costar in the 2011 flick “X-Men: First Class,” Lawrence said she enjoys watching any TV that makes her feel good about herself.
But unlike Honey Boo Boo, who drinks a potent “go go juice” concoction of Red Bull and Mountain Dew to prepare for the stage, Lawrence said she had to forgo caffeine before her latest Leno chat.
The Kentucky native said she chugged Red Bull and coffee before her last “Tonight Show” appearance two years ago and “stormed” on set like “I was nuts.”
