A Hancock County man died early today in a one-car accident on Kiln-Delisle Road, authoriies said.

Evan Forsythe, 22, of Kiln was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries he received in the accident, Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk said.

The car Forsythe was driving hydroplaned and hit a utility pole shortly after 2 a.m., he said.

His two passengers were taken to an area hospital. A female passenger was extracted from the vehicle, said Hancock County Chief Deputy Don Bass. The male passenger was ejected. Their conditions are unknown.

The accident remains under investigation by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department.
