HAMILTON — A car accident and downed wires have closed the intersection of Kuser Road and Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, police said.

The intersection is closed and will be closed through rush hour tonight. Detours are in place and motorists should plan alternative routes, police said.

Forked River resident Barbara Rolles was traveling west on Kuser Road at 7:45 a.m. today when her car left the road and struck a utility pole, causing power lines to fall, police said.

Rolles, 62, was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the Hamilton Police Division Traffic Unit at (609) 581-4024.
