WORTH COUNTY, Ga. – A local soldier has died following a car crash in Georgia.
Anthony Castelluccio, a 2009 Glen Este High School graduate, was killed in a fiery crash over the weekend in Worth County.
Castelluccio, 20, was a passenger in a car driven by his friend, Lonnie Cooke.
The men were headed to visit Cooke’s family in Sylvester, Georgia when the accident happened Sunday evening.
Investigators believe Cooke, 18, fell asleep at the wheel and struck a tree.
Both men were wearing their seat belts, according to police.
Officials tell 9 News the men were identified by their military dog tags.
The soldiers had just finished basic training at Fort Knox.
