SPRINGFIELD, Ga. (AP) — Authorities in Effingham County arrested a man they say threatened a family with a shotgun while he was out on parole.
Effingham County sheriff’s spokesman David Ehsanipoor tells the Savannah Morning News (http://bit.ly/pEJv1W ) 37-year-old Michael Cadle of Guyton was arrested Saturday.
Ehsanipoor says Guyton had a car accident and then pointed a gun at another man and his two children who saw the accident and stopped to help.
Deputies had been dispatched to the area following a report of a reckless driver. Ehsanipoor says Cadle fled into a wooded area when deputies arrived. Deputies chased him and he was subdued with a Taser after resisting arrest.
Cadle faces multiple charges and was being held without bond in the Effingham County jail. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had a lawyer.
