A 27-year-old Dodge County woman died in a single-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon, according to the Dodge Co. Sheriff’s Office.

A news release says the accident happened on Ga. Highway 257 near Exit 5 just before 3 p.m.

Ashley Grimsley Thigpen was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer that overturned multiple times before leaving the road, the release said. Thigpen was ejected from the vehicle and died at the hospital.

No one else was in the vehicle.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
