BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP — At least three people were seriously injured Friday night in a four-car crash on Rancocas Road near Fountain Avenue, according to emergency officials.
The accident occurred shortly after 7 p.m.
At least one of the cars was heavily damaged, and an accident victim had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Two people were taken by helicopter to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with undisclosed injuries.
A third was taken by ambulance to Virtua Memorial in Mount Holly.
Details of the crash were not immediately available Friday night.
Traffic was slowed at Rancocas Road and Route 541, but authorities were allowing cars to pass.
