60-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash

Authorities have identified the woman killed in the two-vehicle crash as Martha Ann Smith, 60, of Cartersville.

Monday, 11:30 p.m.

Although Georgia State Patrol officials have not released the identity of the victim of a fatal Monday crash, they say it is a 60-year-old woman who lost control of her Kia.

According to the public information officer, the woman was travelling east on GA 20 near Wilderness Camp Road, lost control and her car rotated. The right rear of her car struck the front of an Acura driven by a 55-year-old Memphis woman, who was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities expect to release the deceased woman’s name following confirmation of the notification of relatives.
