Posted by:

Four teenagers were killed in Illinois when their car skidded off a bridge and plunged into a creek.

Police say the bodies of the two boys and two girls were recovered from Forked Creek near the city of Wilmington, 60 miles southwest of Chicago.

Officers say it appears the driver hit a patch of water or ice and lost control.

The car tore through a guard rail on the bridge and plunged into the water.
