AUSTELL, Ga. – Cobb County authorities were investigating a serious crash on Monday afternoon involving two cars in Austell. The impact left debris scattered across the roadway, and two children were left critically injured.
It happened at C.H. James Parkway and Humphries Hill Road SW in Austell. Authorities say a Saturn and a Volkswagon were involved, and one vehicle t-boned the other.
Rescuers had to peel the roof off to the car’s driver and passengers.
Cobb County authorities say three adults and three children were riding in the vehicles, and two of those children were critically injured. One child was flown to Children’s Healthcare at Scottish Rite for treatment.
The view from SKYFOX showed debris scattered across the intersection. One of the vehicles appeared to be in two pieces.
There is no word if either of the drivers will face charges.
