DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The Atlanta-Journal Constitution is reporting that 10 people have been charged in connection with a fatal DUI car crash that killed a 16-year-old girl from Douglas County, Georgia.
The people charged include Douglasville’s chief code enforcement officer, Todd McAllister. Prosecutors say the defendants helped supply alcohol at two parties attended by teens before a fatal wreck last Saturday that killed Cheyenne Sauls, a sophomore at Villa Rica High School. Her funeral was today.
Bond has been denied for the driver charged in the death of Sauls, 17-year-old Jason Lark.
Police say McAllister is the owner of the home that hosted the second party. He and his son, 17-year-old Justin McAllister, were among five defendants who appeared in court Friday on charges of furnishing alcohol to minors. Click here to read more about this story from the AJC.
